New Beginnings

Hello internets. Sorry for my absence...I know you all must be on the edge of your seats waiting to hear what is going on in my life. Things have been great here for the CYA's. We have had an amazing summer filled with lots of activites...mostly involving water and submerging our hot burning bodies in it. The Texas heat has been brutal. Record highs all summer long. Seriously. Sucks.
We have some big news. After lots of soul searching and discussion and therapy and wine and planning and love...we have decided to adopt!! Chris and I have been discussing adoption here and there over the last year and finally decided that it is the right choice for us. I'm ecstatic and feel amazing about our decision. I know we have a long journey ahead of us, but at the end we will have our baby. The baby that is meant for us and that makes my heart soar!
I have done a lot of mental work over the last year, cleaned out the nasty bits that were clouding my judgment and making me feel guilty and shitty for things that are out of my control. I truly believe that making that room has allowed me to grow in new directions and taken my relationship with Chris to another level. I feel balanced and ready for a family. It's such a wonderful place to be.
