Blogging has been on the back burner lately. Work has been busy, and I haven't felt like turning on the computer at home. Things are good. My grandma is doing wonderfully. I had a nice visit with her and my mom last weekend.
Chris and I are getting ready for Austin City Limits music festival this weekend. We are kicking the weekend off a little early with David Byrne tomorrow night. I grew up listening to The Talking Heads; my mother has good taste in music. I'm really looking forward to seeing him. The Chron is giving us a 1/2 day on Friday so we won't have to miss any of the festival. I plan on checking out The Mars Volta on Friday. Saturday is gonna be a big day, lots of bands to see - The Fleet Foxes, Jose Gonzales, Spiritualized, The Black Keys. Then we are heading to Stubb's for The Butthole Surfers! I'm sure Chris is going to cling to his youth and get spitting drunk. I'll have to be the DD.
I also have a few catering jobs coming up that I'm super excited about. I'm in the process of getting some proposals together and should have everything set with them in a few weeks. It's funny how the universe works sometimes. Just two weeks ago I was sitting around with some friends and simply said 'I wish I had a few catering jobs coming up', the very next day I had somebody approach me. Thanks universe!
I'll post more next week; some ACL pictures and hopefully some good news about catering.

Litter Bug
I saw you throw that trash out your window this morning. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't you realize that it's people like you that turn our beautiful earth into a trashcan! Have you no regard for this planet? Obviously you don't! I wish I could have stopped the car, picked up your trash and shoved it up your stupid ass. Stop being ignorant and start respecting yourself and this universe.

It's that time again
I have never been a fan of sports and unfortunately my sweet sugar bottoms is. In fact he's a sports maniac. He watches 10 hours of football on Sunday and he also plays in three fantasy football leagues. Recently he has started using our Wii to access the internet on our television, so he can check fantasy football while watching the games. I realized after dating him for only a short while that he was very into all sports. Some women watch sports with their husbands and some even watch them alone. Gasp! I am not one of those women. I will occasionally sit with Chris while he watches a game, but I read a magazine or search the web. It's not something that I can enjoy.
Chris decided to watch the game at a friends house tonight. So, I decided to make a nice dinner for one and enjoy Gossip Girl on the 'sports' TV.

Spinach salad with roasted beets, tomatoes, carrots, onions and cucumbers with light balsamic dressing and two veggie cakes. Chris is anti beet so I don't make them often. It was good and healthy. Now it's time for Gossip Girl.
TAKE THAT FOOTBALL!

Grandma
I found out today that my wonderful, amazing Grandmother has breast cancer. She went in last week to have a suspicious lump biopsied. My mother and I were positive everything was going to be fine since she has had this small mass biopsied in the past and it was benign. Turns out we were wrong; it's cancer and she is having a mastectomy next Tuesday. She will have to go through some chemotherapy too. Please keep her in your thoughts.
