HCG 7800
I had it checked early cause I'm a worry wart! Yesterday morning I noticed a little brown discharge on the toilet tissue and freaked the eff out. Called TFC spoke to a nurse that said not to worry cause it was common and that as long as it was brown I should be fine. Brown discharge is old blood that could be left from the implantation or the transfer. Of course, I worried and called back saying I wanted an ultra sound. She said to calm down and take it easy for the day. Then Dr. V called me and made me feel much better, said I could have my HCG done early if I wanted to. So, I did and it has set my mind at ease. I haven't had any discharge today and feel good. A little cramping and tugging here and there, but that has been happening for weeks, so I'm not that worried. I go back in a week for another HCG check and hopefully an ultra sound. I'm officially 6 weeks pregnant!

#3 = 2,748!
Had my third Beta yesterday and it was great, 2,748! Things are progressing nicely. Going in for another test next Thursday. I hope we get to schedule an ultra sound soon, I want to see that lil bean(s).
My symptoms are still about the same. I have been having some serious gas and stomach bloat! Nurse N told me that some women develop IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome) during their pregnancy and for me to start taking some Malox to relieve the gas. So, I followed her advice and I have been feeling much better. I'm still very tired all the time. This morning I had my first nauseous moment. I woke up thinking holy shit I'm about to vomit all over the bed, but I laid there for a while and it passed; after about 15 minutes of swallowing and me thinking "I will not throw up, I will not throw up".
It's going to be nice to have a 3 day weekend. Lots of time for rest and relaxation by the pool. Chris has already taken his first dip this year, but I have been waiting for it to warm up a bit. We have had record high temperatures this week, so hopefully the hot sun warmed up the pool a few degrees. Time for some fun in the sun!

Monday, Monday.....
The weekend flew by; two days is not enough. I think 3 would be good. So, we told the rents at dinner on Friday. Eileen (MIL) screeched like an owl and Ray (FIL) said he had a hunch, prolly cause I refused wine, and I never refuse wine. They are ecstatic! It was exciting to see their reaction, they are going to be wonderful grandparents. Our lil CYA(s) is going to be one spoiled babe.
Saturday Eileen and I went to the farmer's market and got some great produce. Beets, tomatoes, peaches and kale. The peaches are so good and juicy. I roasted the beats yesterday and used them in a spinach salad for dinner last night. Yesterday we spent most of the day by the pool and I grilled up steaks and veggies for dinner. It was a really nice weekend. Very relaxing and easy.
I have been feeling good! I'm still very tired all the time and have been taking a nap everyday and getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night. A little cramping here and there, which my nurse said was completely normal since my uterus is stretching and things are moving around. I'm peeing a lot, way more than normal. Have to get up in the middle of the night and take a trip to the ole potty. I don't mind any of the symptoms; I have been waiting for them for so long.

Beta # 2 = 195!
We are off to a great start! Had my second test today, 195!!! I can rest a little easier now cause things are going really good so far. I don't have to go in for another blood test until next Thursday and I get to decrease my estrogen pills too! Still have to take those nasty progesterone shots, but I can handle that.
The in-laws will be here tomorrow for a week. We are going to tell them at dinner tomorrow night. I'm still trying to figure out a cute way of letting them know.
Thank you all for all you support and positive energy. It has really helped me through this struggle. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am and how blessed I truly feel.
This lil babe(s) is so loved. It's just amazing, absolutely amazing!!

sleepy weekend
It's been a lazy weekend for me. The hub and I started watching season 3 of The Wire. It's gonna be a good one, my man Omar has appeared in all 4 episodes so far. He's my favorite character. Chris started filling up the pool today, it's almost time to kick off the summer with our opening day pool party. I have some great ideas for new fancy burgers and hot dogs thanks to Food and Wine magazine.
I have been so tired the last few days; taking a nap in the middle of the day. Maybe it's cause I'm growing a lil cya or two. I'm remaining positive and have a really good feeling about this. We will know for sure on Tuesday! Keep your fingers crossed for us:)

the wait
Yesterday was a busy. First to the acupuncturist, then to breakfast. Had to be at the office by 11:45. Got checked in took a valium to relax my uterus and drank a bottle of water. Transfer was at 1. It was amazing, we got to see the two fabulous looking embryos before they transfered them, and we got a picture to take home with us. Had to hang around the office for 45 minutes after the transfer and then back to the acupuncturist. We got home around 3:30 and I have been resting on the couch or in bed since. The Dr. has reassured us that the embryos were in great condition, my uterus lining is in great shape and that our chances are really good. So, I should feel good, and I do for the most part, but I still have that little voice in the back of my head saying "don't get your hopes up". I have made a couple of promises to myself - 1. no home pregnancy tests, I'm going to wait for the blood test (5/13 only 8 days away) 2. if for some reason this IVF fails I'm gonna take some time off, a month or two before we try again. The embryologist called today, we didn't have any embryos to freeze. I was a little shocked since we had so many, but it happens especially at the blastocyst stage. Anyway, back to work tomorrow. That should keep my mind busy for the rest of the week while I wait......

Holding Strong
Talked to my IVF nurse this morning. We are going for a day 5 transfer on Sunday. All 15 lil cya's are still alive. I'm amazed and excited. We're holding strong; 2 are lagging behind in growth, but the rest are all grades 1 and 2!! I have a good feeling about this. Chris and I are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate our strong little embryos. Grow lil ones grow!
